These are all wonderful ideas! I have a beautiful 11 year old daughter, she knows she’s beautiful and while she denies it… I know she is the “popular” girl in school. I love the lunch box notes.

Oh I remember that phase; for example at that age my daughter would have discarded apple sauce with “you rock” written on it rather than be seen eating it. Each kid is different and your suggestions are so sweet!

I’ve just had my third son graduate from tween to teen. One more is coming down the pike in a few years for that transition time. It is definitely a challenge, especially when the things that worked when they were younger no longer do. I have found that being available when they need you is the best thing you can do as a parent.

In reply to Heather Lawrence. Awww, I'm glad he still loves hugs! Mine does too...just not in public, lol. I have to get all my hugs in at home where no one can see.
